Richard Malek started his KofC agent career in 1974. He served the Order as a Field Agent in Northern New Jersey for 10 years and has been the General Agent for Southern New York for over 20 years.
The Malek Agency services all of the councils in southeastern New York, from the New York City border up to Albany.
The mission statement of the Malek Agency is to bring the benefits of the Knights of Columbus to as many Catholic families as possible.

Alan Michels has been a Knight of Columbus for over 25 years. Having served in many council officer chairs, including Grand Knight, as Faithful Navigator of his Assembly, and has served on the Staff of three different State Councils. He has an abundance of experience to bring from the Fraternal side of our Order. Now, as a Field Agent, Alan helps our K. of C. families plan for their future needs. Alan knows that Father McGivney's dream about "Catholics helping Catholics" is the highest priority of what he does each and every day.

Bill joined the Knights in January 2004, a member of the Peekskill Council 462, the same council that his Grandfather was a member, joining in 1924. In April of 2005, Bill became a 4th Degree Knight, also Joining the Color Corps and in June 2005, he joined the Malek Agency as a Field Agent. Prior to embarking on this career, he was a self-employed Carpenter for 35 years, and since 1995, President of G&B Custom Fabricators, Inc., a Custom Corian Countertop Fabrication business. In 1993 attained his NYS Life & Health Insurance License. Bill's favorite area to help his assigned councils, is helping with Membership Drives. He believes that the Knights programs are the best that he has seen and is proud to represent the Knights. He hopes he can help all of the Brother Knights and their families, in the councils he serves. Frank Lowell joined the Malek Agency as a Field Agent in 2005. He is a Third Degree Knight. Frank was Sales & Operations Manager at WTBQ Radio in Warwick for over five years. He also spent 25 years on Wall St. as a Computer Programmer and Systems Analyst. Thus, Frank brings many years' experience in the Financial Industry to his role as Field Agent. He seves the Newburgh, Beacon, Montgomery, Hyde Park, Cornwall, and Walden Councils.

Jim and his wife Tatiana reside in Walden, NY along with their twin boys Thomas and Timothy. Tatiana is a Ballroom Dancing Instructor, having retired from professional competition in 2000. During her career, she was the Number One ballroom dancer in Israel and the Ukraine and competed with some of the dancing instructors in Dancing with the Stars. Business & Professional Qualifications: Earned the Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow in 2005 (LUTCF) from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA www.theamericancollege.edu Earned Certified Senior Advisor CSA from the Society of Certified Senior Advisors in 2005 in Denver Co. www.society-csa.com Took the First Degree of the Order in 1998, and is a member of Joyce Kilmer Council 1177. Earned the Fraternal Insurance Counselor (FICF CSA) designation in 2000. Member of the exclusive Million Dollar Round Table for the past 3 years. Exemplified for the Fourth Degree in 2000, and is a member of Joyce Kilmer Assembly 698. Was the #1 recruiter of new members in the United States in 2002. Member of the the Supreme Knight's Sales Club for the past four years. This distinction was achieved by only 75 field agents throughout the Order, out of a field force of approximately 1,200 professionals. The bottom line is his skillful knowledge of insurance and personal sensitivity to your needs.
